The Strange Men

In the late forties and early fifties in Utah, families reported strange men peering in through their windows into their house. They described them as being very tall, their eyes black, and to be wearing a large coat which covered most of their body. They said that they never tried to enter the house, they would just stare through the windows at them. They would apparently put one hand up on the glass as if they were trying to claw at it with their fingers. About one month after the sightings the families would vanish. No noises were heard during the night, and there was no sign of a forced entry, or even an entry of any kind. In some cases there was still food on the table when the authorities investigated.

Similar creatures were also seen on highways in Nevada.
